Transmission

The Coyote Springs site is adjacent to a separately owned, “shovel ready” transmission corridor that extends along the border of Coyote Springs to a major California ISO interconnection point located in Southern Nevada. This independent project is under joint development by LS Power and NV Energy and has recently obtained a BLM notice to proceed. The Southwest and Southern Nevada Intertie Projects have also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Western Area Power Association in order to benefit from funds that may be dedicated to the SWIP/SNIP under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009.
